RCGS offers a collection of over 1.3 million genealogy records from seven Kansas counties: Riley, Wabaunsee, Pottawatomie, Clay, Washington, Geary, and Marshall. The sources are listed below.
If you used the Surname Search on our previous website, you’ll notice a big change. The new Records Search combined the old Surname Search and Cemetery Records. This new search will give you much more detail—especially the type of event (birth, marriage, etc.) and the date it occurred. To make this possible, RCGS is re‑indexing all 1.3 million records. It’s a large project, and it will take time, so we appreciate your patience as we work toward this improved experience.
Members can view any documents their search uncovers. Non‑members may order copies for $1 per page (minimum $10).
