The RCGS Board is composed of dedicated volunteers who guide the Society’s activities. It includes our elected officers, the immediate past president, and a group of appointed officers, for a total of 9 to 18 members. All Board members are active members of the Society. The Board meets virtually at 9:00 a.m. on the second Friday of each month.
Elected officers include the President, Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, and Treasurer. Additional appointed positions are created by the Board as needed to support the Society’s work. You can access our current bylaws and descriptions of Board positions and responsibilities at the link below.
All officers serve one‑year terms beginning January 1. When a vacancy occurs, the Board may appoint someone to serve for the remainder of that calendar year.
Serving on the RCGS Board is a meaningful way to support the Society and help shape its future. Board members bring their skills, curiosity, and passion for genealogy to a collaborative team that keeps RCGS thriving. If you enjoy working with others, contributing ideas, and strengthening our community, we invite you to consider a Board role. It’s a rewarding way to make a difference and deepen your connection to RCGS.
